Lakewood School offers a quality educational program for those seeking a career in massage therapy from Troy or anywhere!

This 10-month program includes a variety of workshop electives, a clinical experience, and business development courses designed to ensure each graduate has the skills needed to pursue a successful career after graduation.

Lakewood School is well known in Michigan by students and employers for well trained graduates that are ready to step into the massage therapy profession. We are dedicated to graduating therapists who have mastered massage therapy, will be economically successful, and personally fulfilled.

Apply to Lakewood School of Therapeutic Massage

A Holistic Health Career in Less than a Year
The Spring Program that begins in March and a Fall Program that begins in September. Both programs have a Core Program component, Supplemental Classes, Online Classes, Workshop Electives, and Student Clinic.

Admission Requirements (Including Prerequisites)

- Be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Be of good moral character
- Be self motivated and responsible for your own learning
- Be conversant in written and oral English
- Have received at least one (1) hour professional massage

Must demonstrate ability to perform college level course work through previous GPA and/or college entrance testing

Troy is a city in Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. Its population was 80,980 at the 2010 census, making Troy the most-populated city in the county and the 13th most-populated municipality in the state.

As a northern suburb of Metro Detroit, Troy is about 6 miles (9.7 km) north of the city of Detroit. It was organized as Troy Township in 1827, and sections of the township incorporated much later into the cities of Birmingham, Clawson, and Royal Oak. The last portion of the township incorporated as the present-day city of Troy in 1955.

Troy has become a business and shopping destination in the region, with numerous office centers and the upscale Somerset Collection mall. In 2011, Troy was ranked the safest city in Michigan, as well as the 19th safest city in the nation. In 2008, Troy was ranked 22nd on a list of “Best Places to Live” in the United States by CNN Money, using criteria including housing, quality of education, economic strength, and recreational opportunities.
