Admission Requirements (Including Prerequisites)
– Be 18 years of age or older
– High school diploma or equivalent (GED) *required to be sent from issuing institution to Lakewood
– Be of good moral character
– Be self motivated and responsible for your own learning
– Be conversant in written and oral English
– Have received at least one (1) hour professional massage
The Spring Program that begins in March and a Fall Program that begins in September. Both programs have a Core Program Component, Supplemental Classes, and Student Clinic.
The Core Program days and Supplemental Classes differ by program.
The Fall Program meets every Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:37 p.m., Friday 9:00 a.m.- 12:46 p.m and one Saturday per month (Supplemental Classes) 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The Spring Program meets every Thursday from 9:00 a.m.– 5:37 p.m.Friday 1:00 p.m.- 4:46 p.m., and one Monday per month (Supplemental Classes) 9:00 a.m.– 5:00 p.m.

The final interview is conducted by
the Program Director, Dawn Newman.
This is the final step in the enrollment process
and the final checkpoint to ensure all required paperwork is in order.
During the interview, Dawn will discuss your financial arrangements, your framework as a student, your experience with and interest in massage therapy, as well as addressing any other questions or concerns you may have.
